Living with a physical disability doesn’t mean giving up your independence….

Whether you or your loved one has had a disability since birth, or it’s come on after illness, injury or surgery, we’re here to help you live well at home, with the right support.

From getting ready in the morning to help with medication, shopping or keeping in touch with friends, our carers are here to support your daily life on your terms.

Understanding Physical Disability

What is a physical disability?

A physical disability is any long-term condition that makes it harder to move, do everyday tasks, or get about. That might be due to a condition like MS, arthritis, cerebral palsy or a spinal injury. Or it might follow a stroke, surgery, or an accident. Some people need a little support to stay independent. Others need much more hands-on help. Many people need different levels of support at different times and that’s fine.

How We Help

  • Personal care (washing, dressing, grooming)
  • Help with mobility, transfers or using mobility aids
  • Assistance with meals, medication, and appointments
  • Light housework and day-to-day tasks
  • Emotional support and companionship
  • Tailored support for different needs and routines
  • Flexible care: from short visits to live-in support

Every person’s experience is different, and we tailor our care to reflect this.

No two people are the same.

We understand that physical disability and how we cope with it differ from person to person and that’s how we approach care. We take time to get to know you properly: your needs, preferences, personality, routines, and what matters most to you. Then we create a care plan that’s just right.

For some people, that might mean a friendly visit every day to check in, help with meals and keep things running smoothly. For others, it could mean more involved support: helping with mobility, managing daily routines, or staying overnight to make sure someone is safe and comfortable.

However we help, you’ll see the same familiar carers you trust, not a different face every time.

Dementia Support

If your loved one has been diagnosed with dementia, it’s natural to feel overwhelmed. Whether they’re at the beginning of their journey or further along, our carers are here to provide steady, practical support that helps you carry on living life in the comfort of your own home.

From occasional visits to round-the-clock support, we offer flexible, person-centred care from a team that’s trained in dementia awareness, memory loss, and emotional wellbeing. We work with individuals, families, and local professionals to build care plans that respond to changing needs, without rushing, pushing, or overcomplicating.

Respite Care

If you’re caring for a loved one with a physical disability, we understand how much you do. Our care service is for you as well. Whether it’s giving you time to rest, keeping you updated, or simply listening over a cup of tea, our team is on your side.

We work with carers, including young carers, family, partners, and family members, to ensure everyone feels supported and respected.

Emotional Support and Family Involvement

Living with dementia affects more than just memory. Changes in mood, behaviour and routine can take a toll. We offer gentle emotional support, both for the person receiving care and for their family.
